The acclaimed exhibition The Art of the Brick is temporarily on display at De Kalverpassage in Amsterdam. The Art of the Brick is composed of 100 unique works of art, built with more than one million LEGO® stones. The creative spirit behind these unique works of art is the American artist Nathan Sawaya, also known as artist-in-residence and consulting producer of the immensely popular programme Legomasters USA.
The Art of the Brick is a feast of recognition for all ages, from LEGO fans to art lovers. Admire a six-metre-long T-Rex skeleton of more than 80,000 stones and world-famous works of art by Da Vinci, Vermeer and Rembrandt in 2D and 3D, all made by LEGO.
Added to this set is the beautiful gallery In Pieces, a collaboration between Lego artist Nathan Sawaya and award-winning photographer Dean West, best known for his intricate and highly staged photographs that take everyday events beyond natural reality.
A visit to The Art of the Brick is complete with the free audio guide that you can download before or during your visit.
Extra special: the English audio guide is spoken by Nathan Sawaya himself.
