Facilities

The Art of the Brick is very accessible for disabled persons and prams. Please note that you will have to pay a small fee for the public toilets and lockers to store your belongings. Easy and safe.

Toilets (fee)

We have temporarily taken over a former department store for The Art of the Brick. Sadly, this space is not equipped with large numbers of toilets. Right beside our entry you’ll find luxury (public) toilets provided for all visitors to the Kalvertoren, including a disabled toilet and a changing room for babies. The entrance has a turnstile and a special gate for wheelchairs and pushchairs. You can do your business for €1.00 per person, contactless or using a coin.

Lockers (fee)

To avoid the works of art being damaged by accident, and to make sure that everyone can keep their distance and visit the exhibition comfortably, you are not allowed to take large items inside with you, such as umbrellas, large rucksacks or bags, trolleys, motorbike helmets, etc. We provide lockers to store these safely for a small fee (€2.00 for 2 hours). You can put several items into the same locker. There are also a limited number of large(r) lockers available for large items that cost slightly more. Small handbags up to A4 format (21 x 30 cm or 8″ x 11.5″) are allowed in the exhibition.

Walkers, wheelchairs and pushchairs

The exhibition is easily accessible with a walking frame, wheelchair or pushchair. The entrance to the lift up to the exhibition floor can be found in the lobby area, to the left of the escalator. We’re sorry, but it is not possible to visit The Art of the Brick in a mobility scooter.

Guide dogs

You may not bring dogs or other (household) pets to the exhibition, with the exception of a support dog or a guide dog for the blind, which must be kept on a lead.

App with audio guide

Please download our free audio guide app in advance from the Apple Store or Google Play. Don’t forget to make sure your phone is sufficiently charged. Other visitors will appreciate it if you only use the app with earphones or headphones. [links Apple & Google]
